What's In A Name

Giant brand food is one of my favorites. Mainly because in many cases it's the same goods for less then an arm and a leg. There's only one thing I love that costs me less than a dollar and it's Giant brand 2 liter sodas for a mere 89 cents. It was a shocking but pleasurable discovery. I'm happy to know that I can get three times the value for my money because all I have to do is realize when a name is not worth its price tag. Products, like people should earn their asking price.

Adapt and Overcome

At the start I'm cheap and casual. I'm alright with this, save for moments of inferiority. At school, or at work, or anywhere really, I strive for a style that says:”power!”. I've no obligation to dress. My office is not high class and school is very free. But when I go to collect money for Dr. Boss I'll wear suits, sharp and bold. A sacrifice yes, but for victory. I want Dr. Boss' office and chair, so I study and practice to attain it. I've seen abuses of power but I need power to set it right, and I'm determined.

A Home In Stories.

My name is Derek John Steiner and my home can be found in my stories. My life feels most real when I'm in a good story. No space in particular, no place anchors my soul. It's in the midst of adventure, romance, comedy, and tragedy that my heart sings: “We're on a roll!” I needn't be always happy, nor do I wish to play a victim but as part of a grand cast with a role in a grand plot I can make this dictum: This is where I live, this is where I call home!
