My
name is Derek John Steiner and my home can be found in my stories. My
life feels most real when I'm in a good story. No space in
particular, no place anchors my soul. It's in the midst of adventure,
romance, comedy, and tragedy that my heart sings: “We're on a
roll!” I needn't be always happy, nor do I wish to play a victim
but as part of a grand cast with a role in a grand plot I can make
this dictum: This is where I live, this is where I call home!
Your concept of home is very interesting! I never thought about it in this sort of way but very cool. I can relate to this.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely relate very much to your definition of home. I like the way you relate your home with stories of enjoyment, romance, and adventure. I also feel that wherever I am, home is always with me.
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you describe your home as being part of your story. It fits with the class really well.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you defined home. I can definitly agree with it and I also enjoyed reading it :)
ReplyDeleteSo this may be a silly question, but the "stories" you call home...do you mean stories from books you are reading? Or like...you're living your life as a big story?
ReplyDeleteThe quick answer is that I feel most "at home" when I'm engaged in something important. A story taking place in my life. I'll go more in depth with future postings. Thanks for the helpful inquiry!
